observability
Keeping it running, and seeing what it does.
Alloy, Prometheus, Loki, Grafana, and Alertmanager with docker compose, dashboards as code, and alert routes.
- Version 0.1.0
- 3 skills
- 1 gate check
- Running on this site: Mission Control
What it does
Metrics, logs, dashboards and alerting for a repository, kept in git. Alloy receives OpenTelemetry from the services, Prometheus stores metrics and evaluates the alert rules, Loki stores logs, Alertmanager routes alerts and Grafana shows all of it. The whole stack runs from one docker compose file. Dashboards are generated from small specs, every alert rule carries a route label and a runbook, and a gate check reports alert rules that break this format.
Install
Add the marketplace at release v0.1.0 once, then install the plugin and restart Claude Code.
claude plugin marketplace add uncovertechtalent/cto-powersuit#v0.1.0
claude plugin install observability@cto-powersuit
Skills
/observability:alert-routesGive every Prometheus alert rule a route label and a runbook_url annotation, route alerts in Alertmanager by that label to one receiver per team and severity with grouping and inhibit rules, write the missing runbooks, and test rules with promtool and routes with amtool.
/observability:dashboards-as-codeKeep Grafana dashboards in git as code: write a small JSON spec per dashboard, generate the dashboard JSON with a standard-library build script, let Grafana provision the files read-only, bring UI edits back into the spec, and review every change on the diff.
/observability:stack-initSet up an observability stack in the current repository: Alloy, Prometheus, Loki, Grafana and Alertmanager in docker compose, with config files, provisioned data sources and dashboards, retention settings and an .env.example, then start it and check that each component answers.
Gate checks
The checks this plugin adds to the deploy gate of the gate module, each with a pass fixture and a fail fixture:
