direction

Where the company stands, and the big technical decisions.

A weekly review of the tracker across all areas that writes a memo (what moved, what is blocked, the proposed allocation of the week, the decisions needed) and records each confirmed decision as a tracker item, with a gate check that every memo has a date, a period, its four sections, and a status on every decision.

What it does

The direction area of a company that runs its work in a tracker. Once a week, /direction:review reads every item in bd across all areas and writes one memo: what moved per area in the period, what is blocked and by what, a proposed allocation of the coming week, and the decisions the owner must take. The memo is a proposal. A decision counts once the owner states it: the skill then records it as a tracker item with area:direction and kind:decision, closed with the decision as its reason, and the memo line names the record. The item closes at record time because it is the record of the choice; the work that follows goes to kind:action items in their own areas, which stay open until done. A gate check reports memos that lack a date or a period, miss one of the four sections, or leave a decision without a status.

The module reads the same labels as the cockpit of the CTO powersuit (area: for the eight areas, kind: for finding, decision, action, and lead) and needs nothing else from it. Items without an area: label stay under "no area label" in every table; the skill never guesses an area.
